the design process
Curious how interior design services work?
- Discovery - Inspirations, goals, budgets, etc. Everything I need to know to put together an appropriate package for you.
- Design plan - you will receive the following based on your needs: floorplan(s), concept board(s), fixture, finishes, and furniture selections.
- Product Sourcing - In most cases I will do the shopping for you! For virtual design, you will receive a shopping list.
- Installation - If local, I will come to install & decorate for you. If virtual, I will help you step by step with the install process.
The Faces of Modern Dream Designs
Hello! I'm Caitlin, the creator and owner of Modern Dream Designs. I grew up in Indiana, and have lived in Mooresville NC for 14 years.
My childhood dream was to be an interior designer. After Chris & I designed our custom dream home I took the leap and turned my dreams into reality. I am an IDPP certified International Decorating & Design Professional. I've worked in business administration for over 10 years and have paired those skills with my passion for design to launch Modern Dream Designs.
Aside from design, a few things that define me are my love for fitness, HGTV & reality TV, dogs and shoes! I'm a shopaholic and love bargain finds.
I love being creative, and my favorite aspect of design is the impact is has on our well being.
Chris is also a huge part of Modern Dream Designs. He is an extremely talented fabricator, and works in the NASCAR industry. All the pieces you see in our Custom Crafted section are fabricated by him!
